WHO ARE WE?

We are Aresa, a Mexican company dedicated to saving energy through our system of removable and reusable insulation: Aisla-Temp®.

We have over 30 years’ experience and have worked for companies such as CFE, PEMEX, Altos Hornos de Mexico, Siemes, Alstom, General Electric, Coca-Cola, Casa Cuervo, Flowserve, ICA Fluor, Cerveceria Modelo, Cerveceria Cuauhtemoc, Dontinental Tire of Mexico, Michelin, Euzkadi, Celanese Mexicana, etc.

We have insulated more than 750 turbines and more than 20,000 different types of equipment such as valves, flanges, heat exchangers, reactors, diffusers, stills, distillation columns, furnaces, pumps, feedwater inputs, manholes, actuators, injectors guns, plastic presses vulcanizing presses, autoclaves, etc.

We are a company committed to the environment, and that is why one of the main objectives of our thermal covers Aisla-Temp® is to collaborate with the reduction of pollutants emitted into the atmosphere by providing a solution to reduce burning fossil fuel, thus, counteracting global warming. In addition, our Aisla-Sound® removable sound insulation covers help to reduce noise emissions and noise pollution.

An essential part of our work is to provide valuable information to our customers through our energy diagnostics, which indicate significant rates of consumption, production and use of energy in their operations.

Letter from the Founder and current Chairman of Aresa: Mr. Gustavo Romero Márquez

Hello, welcome to Aresa, I’m Gustavo Romero Marquez, founder and president of the company, and I would like to share with you this story of over 40 years in the field of thermal insulation.

In 1975 in Houston, Texas, I began my education and training through various courses and experiences in the vast field of thermo-acoustic insulation in the company Brown & Root Inc., concluding as Assistant Superintendent Petrochemical O.P. 1 and 2 of Corpus Christi, Texas, in the year 1979, with about 500 workers in my charge.

In 1980, already back in Mexico, and with the intention of starting a company that will bring innovative and practical solutions to the industry of our country, we began to research, using imported and domestic materials. Our goal was to develop removable and reusable insulation, which would be easy to install and remove. We wanted a product that would be ideal for accessories and equipment that require maintenance.

Our goal was to find a product that will generate savings in installation time and in energy use, to be used on equipment which was not normally insulated due to the high cost of disposing of the insulation. It would require fewer man hours, and avoid the need for, shipments of waste, backfill requests, purchases, storage and installation, providing a concrete proposal for energy saving and reduction of pollution, saving energy, also reducing emissions of CO2 and other pollutants into the atmosphere and counteracting global warming.

So it was that with all these advantages that Aisla-Temp®, removable thermal and acoustic coverings were created. Grupo Aresa was born, a pioneer in the field.

Among the first companies which trusted our proposal Aisla-Temp® were: Cia Hulera Euzkadi, Celanese Mexicana, Fertimex, Ciba CEGI, Cyanamid, etc.

It was in 1982 when Luz y Fuerza del Centro entrusted us with the manufacture and installation of our covers for gas turbines of 5 MW General Electric for its various plants; this was a very rewarding job for us.

A year later, in 1983, we installed coverings in a Mitsubishi 300 MW steam turbine for CFE. The results were very satisfactory, leading the way to installations at a number of electrical geothermal and thermoelectric plants throughout the country.

We have insulated more than 750 turbines and more than 20,000 different types of equipment such as valves, flanges, heat exchangers, reactors, diffusers, stills, distillation columns, vulcanizing presses, furnaces, diffusers, etc.

There were many obstacles to be overcome to continue on the market, such as devaluations, lack of funding, etc., which forced us to substitute imports and develop constant innovations which have generated new projects. We continue to innovate and develop solutions for the industry in general.

That’s why now thank all our staff, customers, suppliers, authorities and all those who have supported us and believed in us at this stage, hoping to continue together in the future.
